Always let your parents or guardians know if you discover anything on the Internet that makes you feel uncomfortable. Always tell your parents or guardians if someone asks to meet you outside your home.

Always leave a chat room if you don’t feel comfortable about what's being said and let your parents know.

Always remember it’s very easy for people on the Internet to lie about who they really are.  It can be very difficult sometimes to know whom you're really talking to.

Remember to check with your parents or guardians to see if they have special rules  about when you can use the Internet, use chat rooms, or open and send emails.

Never give any of your personal details away over the Internet (such as your phone number, email address or photographs) Always ask for permission from your parent or guardian first.
